Friends, fans, fanatics: Tapping into sports culture to drive UX design

"Lucra was a challenging and interesting project we got to work on. It’s a peer-to-peer sport betting app where users create contests to bet against each other, which was a big departure from a lot of eCom-focused projects that we work on at Pattern. So this really forced us to work outside our typical headspace. Talking to users and sports fanatics really helped us ramp up our knowledge on the different sport betting rules and just to make sure we’re able to cover off on all of the different varieties a contest might entail."
